Requesting Materials

When using Mobacho

You can request materials using a mobile phone, smartphone or computer. Express delivery services are available for those who need materials as soon as possible.

<Payment Methods>
(1)Payment at the time of request
You can pay using your mobile phone, smartphone or a credit card (requires a separate payment processing fee of ¥50).
Depending on the model of your mobile phone or smartphone or the kind of contract you have with your service provider, you may in some cases not be able to make payment together with your telephone charges. If this is the case, please select the convenience store deferred payment option.
(2)Deferred payment
Please pay at a convenience store once the materials have arrived (requires a separate payment processing fee of ¥126).

When using Telemail

(1)When requesting materials directly from the university’s website

You can use Telemail to make a direct request for materials from Akita University.

(2)When requesting materials through the Internet (computer, smartphone or mobile phone) or an automated voice response phone

* Calls from a standard telephone line are charged at ¥12 for every 3 minutes from anywhere in Japan.
* When registering your name, address and other details, please speak slowly and clearly. Failure to speak clearly may result in the non-delivery of materials.

③Please follow the instructions and register a delivery address.
  • * Those who have used Telemail do not need to register a delivery address.

    * Materials will usually arrive 2 – 3 days after the request has been made. Note that in some cases, they may take more than 4 days depending on the time the request was submitted, and regional and postal conditions at the time. If you have not received your materials after 5 days, please contact Telemail Customer Center. Materials requested prior to the day when the shipping process begins will be sent together on the same day.

    * Payment is made after the materials have arrived. Please confirm the payment form included with the materials and pay the displayed amount within a week of the materials’ arrival. Note that payment processing fees are to be paid separately (convenience store payment: ¥86; Japan Post Bank/post office ATM: ¥80, counter: ¥130; mobile phone payment: ¥50; credit card payment: ¥50). You can also pay for multiple materials together in one go.

(3)When requesting materials through the post office (commencing from November)

Please apply at a Japan Post Bank branch or the savings counter at a post office. Please fill in the necessary items on the Application for National/Public/Private University, College and Distance Education Program Student Application Guidelines (Application) (Catalog for Application Requests made through the Post Office), which can be found in post offices (limited to former ordinary post offices). When doing so, please make sure to pay the postage fee and ¥130 payment processing fee. The materials will arrive around a week after the application has been made (Applications made prior to the day when the shipping process begins will be delivered 3 days from the day after this day).

* The post office only handles applications for Student Application Guidelines for Standard Entrance Examinations (including the University Prospectus set).

When requesting materials directly from the university

<When visiting the university in person>
Materials are available for distribution from the Akita University Admission Division counter (8:30am – 5:00pm).
Note that materials are not available for distribution from the counter on Saturdays, Sundays, National Holidays, August 12 – 16 and December 27 – January 5.

<Those wishing to have materials sent via post>
Please send or FAX your details (name and address or recipient, contact telephone number, name and number of copies of required materials) (format optional) to the Admission Division.
