“Today's Engineering Research”
Students enrolled in one of our many partner-universities are eligible to participate in our Exchange Program. The examination fee, admission fee, and tuition fees are waived under the Student Exchange Agreement.
AUAJ is designed for students who major in Japanese Language or Japanese Language Education in overseas partner universities of Akita University with minimum of JLPT N2 or equivalents. This program aims to foster students equipped with expertise and professionalism in their academic field as well as academic Japanese language proficiency. This is a one year program starting in April.
International students will take active roles in joining the exchange activities of the local events along with the residents as the students study Japanese language and their specialized fields of study in order to meet the aims of the people from Akita. At the last half of the program, they create and conduct the projects which contribute to regional revitalization throughout the cooperative activities in cooperating with Japanese students and the local residents.
Application Period: beginning in early May
The goal of this program is to acquire Japanese language proficiency and gain an understanding of Japanese culture, but students can choose to start either in April or October. They may also choose the duration of the program (either one semester or one year). Degree seeking students and research students may also take the courses in this program.
