Interaction Between Senior Nursery Teachers and Juniors

 

 

On June 11th, Faculty of Education and Human Studies, Akita University held an interaction meeting between senior nursery teachers and juniors.
This meeting is an annual event held prior to the practical training for the students pursue teaching certificate of kindergarten and nursery teacher. Total of 55 students joined.
5 graduate students who work at nursery school and child welfare facility were invited as a lecturer. They made a speech for the reasons of choosing the job, joy of the work and gave advice to the students.
Feedbacks from the students were “It was good to hear directly from the seniors close in age.”, “I could understand how they are proud of their work.” and others.
Professor Jyunko Okuyama of Faculty of Education and Human Studies and Principle of Affiliated Kindergarten said “Hearing from seniors close in age was a valuable opportunity for the students. Recently expansion in childcare services is only in the news .For improvement of quality of childcare services, I hope to grow childcare workers to support their family who can work with joy.
