On Saturday - Sunday, July 5-6, 2014, 19 International students and a Japanese tutor went on a field trip to Kazuno city, Semboku city, and Daisen city.
Akita University organizes the trip every year for International students for the purpose of understanding Japanese culture and tradition while interacting with each other.
On the first day, the students visited Osarizawa Mine and Goshogake Onsen. They stayed a night at Tazawako Nyuto Lodge and enjoyed freshly made dishes and Onsen.
On the second day, they visited the Statue of Tatsuko and Kakunodate Samurai Houses before pottery making lesson, where they were totally absorbed in making their first original works. Finally, they went to see Kariho brewery and returned to Akita University.
