ICREMER hold the 4th International Symposium “Memorial Lecture for Academic Exchange Agreement between East Kazakhstan State Technical University and Akita University by the Rector of EKSTU.”(October 12, 2011)

To celebrate the signing of international partnership agreement between Akita University and East Kazakhstan State Technical University (EKSTU) in July this year, the International Center for Research and Education on Mineral and Energy Resource (ICREMER) held a commemorative symposium on October 12, 2011, inviting a group of special guests from EKSTU, led by Prof. Nulan Temirvekov, Rector of EKSTU.
The University President Prof. Nulan Temirvekov firstly gave a presentation on EKSTU and then delivered a lecture on mathematical modeling of hydrodynamic problems based on his specialty. Prof. Marina Mizernaya, Head of Geology and Mining Chair, and Prof. Natalya Kulenova, Head of Chemistry, Metallurgy, Mineral Dressing, also made presentations on topics of their specialties. Approximately 70 participants, comprising students and teaching staff members of Akita University, attended this symposium.
On October 13, the guest group headed by Prof. Nulan Temirvekov, visited Prof. Yoshimura, President of Akita University, made a courtesy call, and discussed about exchange programs for researchers and students. At the end of their visit to Akita University, Prof. Nulan Temirvekov remarked that their conviction concerning the mutual benefit of the cooperation between the two universities was reconfirmed after visiting the facilities of Akita University and having discussions with the faculty members of ICREMER and the Graduate School of Engineering and Resource Science.
