AR/VR hands-on experience was held for students of the MINETEC: International Institute for Mining Technology, JMEC

On July 8, an AR/VR experience session was held at the Mineral Industry Museum for trainees of the International College of Natural Resources.
Firstly, Prof. Tsuyoshi Adachi from Graduate School of International Resource Sciences, Akita University, gave a lecture in the auditorium.
After explaining the history and facilities of the Mineral Industry Museum, which began as Akita Mining College and boasts the best mineral exhibits in Japan, the ore VR (Virtual Reality) was used to explain the mining sites and tunnels of gold, coal, and limestone in the country.
During the lecture, the participants asking questions to take photos while watching the powerful images of one of Japan's most famous mining sites and the inside of a mine shaft projected on a large screen measuring 3 meters in height and 8 meters in width.
After the lecture, the trainees used the VR goggles for hands-on training and were able to experience two types of VR content with some of them commenting, "It's just like the Matrix (movie)..
