Last year, Akita University and University of Dar es Salaam signed an agreement to promote cooperation in education and research. Based on this, the Graduate School of International Resource Sciences at Akita University and the School of Mines and Geosciences at University of Dar es Salaam jointly conducted a geological survey of rare earth deposits associated with carbonatites in Tanzania in August 2024.
