Q&A

Q.I want a Certificate of Student status, Certificate of Expected Graduation (Completion), Student Discount Certificate, Certificate of Attendance or Certificate of Health.

A.Please use the certificate issuing machine located in the Student Support Division and Faculty of Medicine Educational Affairs Division (School of Medicine/School of Health Sciences).
Operating hours: Student Support Division (Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 6:00pm); Faculty of Medicine Educational Affairs Division (Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm)

Q.My address, registered domicile or name has changed.

A.Please inform the Academic Affairs Section of your faculty in the event of any changes.

Q.I am not sure how to take lessons.

A.Please consult with the Academic Affairs Section of your faculty if you are uncertain how to take lessons.
If you are not sure who to consult with, please go to The Global Center for Higher Education, which is also able to answer your questions.

Q.I would like to know more about taking a leave of absence from the university, withdrawing from the university or taking entrance examinations for another university.

A.Please start off by consulting with the Academic Affairs Section of your faculty or your supervising instructor. Having done so, please submit your request and obtain the necessary permission. Please think carefully before taking such action, as it is an important decision that will affect your future.

Q.I would like to study abroad.

A.Please consult with the Academic Affairs Section of your faculty or the International Exchange Center regarding studying abroad.

Q.I would like to commute to university by car or motorbike.

A.There are limited parking spaces on campus. Because of this, there are certain restrictions in place regarding commuting to university by car or motorbike depending on the commuting distance from campus and the year of students. Please consult with the Student Support Division for more details. Note that new students are not allowed to commute to university by car.

Q.I would like to know about scholarships and tuition fee waivers.

A.Please consult with the Student Support Division.

Q.I would like to know about student dormitories.

A.Please consult with the Student Support Division.

Q.I would like to rent a room in a boarding house or an apartment.

A.The university Cooperative provides a mediation service for boarding houses and apartments, so please consult there. You will also find a number of real estate information sites from Akita Prefecture in the Internet, so please use these.

Q.I would like to find a part time job or work as a home tutor.

A.Please apply at the University Cooperative Career Station.

Q.I would like to consult with someone about an injury or illness.

A.Please consult with the University Health Center.

Q.I would like to consult with someone on an informal basis about my studies, career or daily life.

A.Please consult with your instructing supervisor, class teacher, one of the university’s student consultation services or the University Health Center.

Q.I had something stolen on campus.

A.Please report incidences of theft without delay to the Student Support Division or the Academic Affairs Section of your faculty.

Q.I have found someone’s lost property or have lost something myself.

A.Please go without delay to the Student Support Division on Tegata Campus or the Faculty of Medicine Educational Affairs Division (School of Medicine/ School of Health Sciences) on Hondo Campus.

Q.I would like to apply to use athletics/sports facilities (training camp center etc.), University Hall or the training facility Nyuto Lodge.

A.Please apply at the Student Support Division

Q.I would like to borrow university equipment.

A.Please apply at the University Hall Office. Please treat university equipment with respect, as it is for the use of all university members.

Q.I would like to use a classroom.

A.Please apply at the Academic Affairs Section of your faculty or at The Global Center for Higher Education on the 1st floor of the Student Support Building. Note that university lessons and events have priority over all other things.
