AY2019
Short-term overseas study program
Rin Sato
1st year,
Faculty of International Resource Sciences

What I learned through the program

I gave presentations in English (about travel plans and inventions) and practiced to get closer to the pronunciation of native English speakers.

My life during the program

My host family was very kind and made me feel comfortable and so much at home that I had a wonderful time there. However, the weather was much colder than I had anticipated and I almost got sick.

Overall impressions of the program

I am very grateful for the wonderful opportunity to spend a month in Canada. I was able to experience the culture, climate, and local character of the country and see a lot of the world that I did not know. It also gave me a chance to clearly determine my goals for the future.

Future plans for study

I would like to increase my vocabulary because I lacked not only English conversation skills but also the vocabulary to express myself clearly. In addition, I would like to improve my TOEIC score and study harder, as I would like to study abroad at a higher level next year.
