Students Called on Donations for the Victims of Earthquake at Kumamoto

 

 

On May 2nd, 10th and 19th, for 3 days, student group “Kumamoto Support Team” of Akita University raised contributions for the victims of Kumamoto earthquake.
The team consists of the member of “ARC”, a group play an active role for regional revitalization. On May 2nd, 9 students dressed in matching outfits called on donations in Tegata Campus.
One of the team member said the reason for setting up “Kumamoto Support Team” comes from a sense of helplessness he felt at the Great East Japan Earthquake when he was in high school.
He mentioned “We would like to continue support to the victims of disaster from student’s point of view.”
Fund-Raise will be sent to Kumamoto though Akita branch of Japan Red Cross Society.
