On October 19th, 2022-ICREMER hosted an International Workshop.
The purpose of this program is training future global leaders who will utilize combined knowledge of both past and present resource development, as well as engineering skills, implement new resource development technologies (i.e., smart mining) in the coming decades in Japan and Southern African countries.
Researchers from Southern African Universities, Kyusyu University (cooperation), Hokkaido University (support) and JICA attended this workshop, with researchers from Southern African countries presenting research in the afternoon, attendees also discussed the situation in Southern Africa and future plans for the Smart Mining Special Program.
