11 international students from Indonesia, Cambodia, Korea and Botswana joined the “Kamakura tour in Yokote” on Saturday, 15 February. At “Akita Furusato Village”, all the students tried “cloisonne work” and created each original pendant/key ring.
Their first view of Kamakura was at an elementary school, a lot of small fantastic kamakuras on the ground attracted them. After that they were invited to come in one Kamakura and were welcomed with hot sweet soup and rice cakes. It was a snowy cold day but hospitality of local people and student teamwork made up for the weather.
